About the role
We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to join PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park in Jakarta Selatan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the tax compliance and strategy functions of our organisation. As Tax Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate tax filings, maintaining compliance with Indonesian tax regulations, and providing strategic tax guidance to support the company's financial objectives. This role is integral to our Finance department and requires someone who can balance meticulous attention to detail with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, value-added tax (VAT), and other mandatory tax filings
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax documents to the relevant Indonesian tax authorities, maintaining full compliance with current tax regulations
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, assessing their impact on the company and implementing necessary adjustments to tax strategies and processes
• Lead the tax team in preparing tax calculations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Conduct tax risk assessments and identify potential areas of non-compliance, recommending corrective actions to senior management
• Prepare tax provisions and accruals for financial reporting purposes in accordance with relevant accounting standards
• Co-ordinate with external tax consultants and auditors on tax audit matters, special investigations, and technical tax issues
• Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and internal controls to optimise tax efficiency whilst ensuring full regulatory compliance
• Mentor and coach junior tax staff, providing guidance on tax matters and supporting their professional development
• Provide tax advice to other departments regarding the tax implications of business transactions and strategic initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting or a related field
• Professional Tax qualification (Brevet and/or USKP equivalent) is highly desirable
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance and tax management, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial park, or corporate environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian tax law, including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax, and property tax
• Strong proficiency in tax software and accounting systems, with demonstrated capability in using taxation tools and platforms
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to practical business situations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tax compliance deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to present tax information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership experience managing a tax team, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff
• Up-to-date knowledge of tax audit procedures and experience in managing tax disputes or audits is an advantage
• Fluency in English
