Mill Inventory and Logistic Manager
About the role
Mill Inventory and Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all inventory management and logistics operations at our mill facility.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all inventory control systems and procedures at the mill facility
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory audits, and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished products
- Optimise warehouse space utilisation and implement efficient storage solutions
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to minimise costs whilst maintaining service quality
- Supervise and train warehouse and logistics personnel to maintain high operational standards
- Prepare and analyse inventory and logistics reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within warehouse and logistics operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience of 10+ years in inventory management and logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing or mill environments
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics software
- Demonstrable experience in supply chain optimisation and cost reduction initiatives
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in data analysis and inventory forecasting techniques
- Familiar with SAP/ERP/CMMS, Inventory Reporting, and Data Analysis System
- Willingness to relocate to or work based in Merauke, South Papua (non-roster)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Indonesian and English
- Familiarity with mill operations and material handling processes is highly desirable
