Mechanical Design Engineer WWTP

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and execution of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects. This role requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, technically strong, and able to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams, vendors, clients, and consultants.

Tanggung Jawab Utama

• Take full responsibility for the mechanical design of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
• Review contract documents, highlight key points, and identify technical risks involved in the contract.
• Prepare P&ID, layout, and hydraulic profile drawings.
• Prepare mechanical shop drawings based on P&ID and general layout drawings.
• Understand and develop hydraulic profiles of treatment plants.
• Perform pressure loss calculations for rotary equipment such as pumps and blowers.
• Carry out calculations for static equipment, including tank weight and dimensional calculations.
• Apply the correct mechanical design standards for each equipment type.
• Develop piping BOQ and isometric drawings, including routing and support structure requirements.
• Prepare detailed Mechanical BOQ with specifications for material purchasing.
• Prepare detailed BOQ for piping, valves, fittings, and support structures for material procurement.
• Support the proposal team in preparing technical offers when required.
• Evaluate vendor offers and select the most suitable equipment based on technical and commercial compliance.
• Provide guidance to drafting designers in the preparation of P&ID, flow diagrams, hydraulic diagrams, and shop drawings.
• Discuss and coordinate with clients and consultants for document review and approval.
• Review engineering documents to ensure technical accuracy during the execution stage.
• Coordinate with vendors during the ordering stage and provide recommendations to the procurement team for purchase approval.
• Plan and commit to meeting project schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets.
• Attend meetings with consultants, clients, and suppliers on engineering and contractual matters.
• Provide support during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages, and resolve technical issues in coordination with clients and consultants.

Persyaratan

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the Water and Wastewater industry as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong coordination and teamwork across departments.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated, driven by excellence, and attentive to detail.
• Capable of handling multiple challenging tasks while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and mechanical design/drawing software.
