Engineer Quality
About the role
PT Wah Hong Indonesia is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineer Quality to join our manufacturing operations based in Cikarang Pusat, Jawa Barat. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and operational excellence across our manufacturing facilities. As an Engineer Quality, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems, conducting rigorous testing and inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet international quality standards. Your expertise will be essential in safeguarding our reputation and ensuring customer satisfaction whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of our manufacturing and logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and oversee quality control systems and procedures to ensure all products meet established specifications and industry standards
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials, components and finished products throughout the manufacturing process
- Analyse quality data and prepare detailed reports to identify trends, root causes of defects and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with production teams to investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality metrics, audit trails and compliance records
- Perform internal and external quality audits to ensure adherence to ISO standards and customer requirements
- Support the development and training of quality procedures for manufacturing staff
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements and specifications
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and drive efficiency enhancements across manufacturing processes
- Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance schedules to ensure measurement accuracy
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or a related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001 and other relevant ISO standards
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and quality management software
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram or FMEA
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with the capability to work collaboratively across teams
- Fluency in Indonesian and English (both written and verbal)
- Experience in the manufacturing, transportation or logistics sector is highly desirable
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies is a valued advantage
- Willingness to undertake relevant certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
