About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Petgo Bastian, located in Senayan City, Jakarta. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to support the efficient operation of our restaurant and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that our high standards of service and quality are consistently maintained. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth restaurant operations and directly impacts guest satisfaction and business performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily management and supervision of all restaurant operations, including service, kitchen coordination, and customer service standards
  • Supervise and train restaurant staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering procedures, and stock management to minimise waste and control costs
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all areas of the restaurant
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, working to resolve issues and maintain positive guest relationships
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and table management during service periods
  • Assist with scheduling staff shifts and managing labour costs in accordance with business requirements
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in financial reporting, budget management, and cost control initiatives
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and ensure all areas meet company standards
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of restaurant marketing initiatives and promotional activities

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality operation, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food service, inventory management, and health and safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and composure
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of food and beverage costs, profit margins, and revenue management is advantageous
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
